(REBEL AND REVEAL) ART: ZAPATISTA CALL FOR ART,
REBELLION AND RESISTANCE MEETING TOWARDS THE DAY AFTER

The Assemblies of Collectives of Autonomous Zapatista Governments (ACEGAZ), the Zapatista communities, and the EZLN invite artists of Theater, Dance, Graphic Arts, Music, Sculpture, and Literature from Mexico and the World to meet with Zapatista artists:

(REBEL AND REVEAL) ART: ZAPATISTA CALL FOR ART, REBELLION AND RESISTANCE MEETING TOWARDS THE DAY AFTER

It will be held from April 13 to 19, 2025, at three venues: Caracol de Jacinto Canek, Caracol de Oventik, and the CIDECI of San Cristóbal de Las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico.

Anyone who has experience in one or more of the arts, who is against the capitalist, patriarchal, racist, discriminatory, and criminal system, and, of course, who feels invited, can participate.

It is allowed to curse the government of your choice. Of course, always with Art. You can resort to minimalist forms such as the already classic, unanimous, and globalized “Fuck Trump”, and/or its equivalents in your languages, calendars, and geographies.

Please be reminded that the production, sale, trafficking, and consumption of alcohol and drugs are prohibited in Zapatista territory. Likewise, human trafficking, sexism, discrimination, racism, the buying and selling of dignity, surrender, and capitulation are not permitted.
