JUSTICE FOR SAMIR FLORES SOBERANES! 6 YEARS OF IMPUNITY

TO THE SIGNERS OF THE DECLARATION FOR LIFE

SISTERS, BROTHERS:

It has been 6 years since the life of our brother Samir Flores Soberanes was taken from him, six years of government of the one who ordered his death, six years of continued deception, imposition and contempt towards our people, six more years of resistance, of rebellion, of fighting for life, of Samir being inspiration, seed and spirit of construction of autonomy, of another possible world.

Justice for Samir, claims the resistance for life against the Proyecto Integral Morelos and against the narco-government, justice claims each of the towns, places and hearts that knew him before or after his death. Justice we shout from the fight for life in Gazza, in Chiapas, in Ostula, in the fight against the Cholula garbage dump, in the cry of the families of our missing sisters and brothers, in the fight against the military maya train, against the interoceanic corridor, xenophobia and forced displacement, the mine, the dam, the train, the corridor, the gas pipeline, the thermoelectric plant, fracking, the real estate cartel, the garbage business, defense of rivers, seas and bodies of water, of forests and autonomous spaces on land or in the air. Justice which Samir built during his lifetime.

6 years after his cruel murder on February 20, 2019 in Amilcingo, Morelos, three days before the consultation imposed by López Obrador to “legitimize” his change of mind and finish imposing the Proyecto Integral Morelos (PIM), Samir’s murderers remain free and governing. They are 6 years of impunity, 6 years of impossibility of the guilty being punished because the guilty are in the government and can easily escape the justice of the State, because they are the State…

But justice is in the fight for life, and yes, in our demand, perhaps absurd, to demand the executioner to persecute and punish himself, to undress the capitalist king, the Mexican narco-government that ordered Samir to be killed.

6 years after Samir’s murder, we call on the signatories of the Declaration for Life to dedicate a moment, an instant, a sowing of memory, life and rebellion to our compañero Samir Flores Soberanes on February 20, 21, 22 or 23, so as to build in a dislocated way the “Global Day: Justice for Samir Flores Soberanes! “6 years of impunity.”

In those days in Mexico, the United States, the Basque Country, France and Italy, 6 busts of Samir will be planted, planting his memory in the territories worthy of our sisters and brothers, in countries whose companies are or were involved in the PIM crime: Elecnor (Basque Country), Saint Gobain (France), Bonatti (Italy), Macquaire (United States), NarcoGobierno (Mexico), so that the global capitalist government’s responsibility on Samir’s death is not forgotten, and neither is the struggle for life.

But the memory of our compañero is not only planted with busts, but also with the fight for decent housing for the Otomi community of Mexico City that founded the “Samir Flores Soberanes” House of Peoples which still resists, and was formerly the central offices of the INPI. In a tree in the resistance camp in Lutzerat, Germany, in a song, a poem, a drawing, a talk, video, conversation, photo, painting, engraving, flower or fruit, in all of them is our brother Samir Flores Soberanes.

We call on the signatories of the Declaration for Life to join with an action or a word to the “Global Day: Justice for Samir Flores Soberanes! 6 years of impunity”, on February 20, 21, 22 or 23, 2025 or when their realities allow.

Justice will come from below and on the left, in common.
