Brothers and sisters of the dignified Mapuche people,
The peoples, nations, tribes, and barrios who make up the National Indigenous Congress, the Indigenous Governing Council, and the EZLN send our solidarity and embrace to the family of Mapuche compañero Camilo Catrillanca who was murdered by a Chilean police tactical team during an operation carried out November 14, 2018, in the Temucuicui community of the Araucanía region. We know that the dignified Mapuche people have waged a centuries-long struggle to defend their forests and rivers, and that Chile’s bad government and its police have used repression and deceit in Mapuche territory to try to extinguish the Mapuches’ defense of life.

The peoples, nations, tribes, and barrios of the CNI, CIG, and EZLN condemn the cowardly attack by Chile’s bad government and its police forces. We demand an end to the repression and criminalization of the Mapuche peoples who defend their territories and that the death of Mapuche compañero Camilo Catrillanca not be handled with impunity. We reiterate our respect for and solidarity with the Mapuche people and salute their dignified struggle in defense of life and territory.

1. Hermanos de los pueblos originarios, la solidaridad y las manifestaciones en contra del infame objetivo del capitalismo salvaje que nos ha condenado a la extinción por cualquier medio, hasta el avance científico del que se nos margina, no deben acallarse, como el caso del Tren Maya en contra del pueblo explotado en la Península de Yucatán dificultando la participación ciudadana a través de falsos foros e instrumentos de consulta popular que propician el desahogo de los oprimidos, no así su inclusión en la toma de decisiones. Nuestra Madre Tierra está gravemente enferma y los Grupos (G 7, G 20, etc.) siguen fortaleciendo el ecocidio en el que los más afectados son quienes abandonan sus tierras como vemos en todo el Planeta Tierra, por lo que urge reforzar nuestra solidaridad y manifestaciones de protesta.
