In New Zealand, The Wellington Zapatista Support Group has organised a photograph exhibition to commemorate to 20th anniversary of the EZLN uprising in Chiapas, to celebrate their achievements and honour their struggle, their sacrifices, and their dead.

Es sind fast 20 Jahre vergangen seit dem Tag, als wir mit der Nachricht aufwachten, dass
sich die Indigenen Maya im Bundesstaat Chiapas gegen die schlechte Regierung des
unaussprechbaren Carlos Salinas de Gortari in Waffen erhoben hatten. Damit begannen
grosse Mobilisationen und ein nicht immer leichter Dialog mit der Nationalen
zapatistischen Befreiungsarmee.
