PRIMERO.- EN 1996, EN SU CUARTA DECLARACIÓN DE LA SELVA LACANDONA, EL EZLN LLAMÓ A LA FORMACIÓN DEL FRENTE ZAPATISTA DE LIBERACIÓN NACIONAL (FZLN), UNA ORGANIZACIÓN POLÍTICA, CIVIL Y PACÍFICA, QUE NO LUCHARA POR EL PODER Y SE EMPEÑARA EN LA CONSTRUCCIÓN DE UNA NUEVA FORMA DE HACER POLÍTICA. EN ESE ENTONCES PENSÁBAMOS QUE EL FIN DE LA GUERRA SE ACERCABA Y PODRÍAMOS ENTONCES PASAR A LA LUCHA POLÍTICA ABIERTA EN EL FZLN. NO FUE ASÍ, LOS MALOS GOBIERNOS SIGUIERON SU GUERRA EN CONTRA NUESTRA Y NOSOTROS NOS HEMOS MANTENIDO DESDE ENTONCES RESISTIENDO. AUNQUE SIN NUESTRA PARTICIPACIÓN DIRECTA, MUCHOS HOMBRES Y MUJERES DE TODO MÉXICO (Y HASTA DE OTROS PAÍSES) SE ENTRARON EN EL FZLN Y, CUMPLIENDO CON EL PRINCIPIO DE NO LUCHAR POR EL PODER, SE EMPEÑARON EN CONSTRUIR UNA NUEVA FORMA DE HACER POLÍTICA EN ESTOS CASI 10 AÑOS.
SEGUNDO.- EN ESTE AÑO DEL 2005, EL EZLN EMITIÓ LA SEXTA DECLARACIÓN DE LA SELVA LACANDONA, CON UNA SERIE DE INICIATIVAS QUE INCLUYEN LA DE QUE UN GRUPO DE ZAPATISTAS DEL EZLN SALGA A HACER TRABAJO POLÍTICO ABIERTO, CIVIL Y PACÍFICO, EN LA LLAMADA “OTRA CAMPAÑA”. SE ABRIÓ ASÍ UNA NUEVA ETAPA DE LA LUCHA ZAPATISTA POR LA DEMOCRACIA, LA LIBERTAD Y LA JUSTICIA PARA MÉXICO, Y SON NECESARIOS ALGUNOS CAMBIOS PARA CUMPLIRLA A CABALIDAD.
TERCERO.- A FINALES DEL PASADO MES DE OCTUBRE DE ESTE AÑO DE 2005, UNA DELEGACIÓN CCRI-CG DEL EZLN SE REUNIÓ CON ALGUNOS MIEMBROS DEL FRENTE ZAPATISTA DE LIBERACIÓN NACIONAL Y LES PIDIÓ QUE CONSULTARAN A TODOS LOS COMPAÑEROS Y COMPAÑERAS FRENTISTAS LA POSIBILIDAD DE DISOLVER LA ESTRUCTURA ORGÁNICA DEL FZLN Y DEVOLVER AL EZLN EL NOMBRE DE ESA ORGANIZACIÓN POLÍTICA CIVIL ZAPATISTA, CONVOCADA EN SU ORIGEN Y FINES POR EL EZLN.
ESTO CON EL OBJETIVO DE DEJAR EN LIBERTAD AL EZLN PARA REFUNDAR UNA ORGANIZACIÓN ZAPATISTA, CIVIL Y PACÍFICA, QUE, RATIFICANDO LOS PRINCIPIOS ENUNCIADOS EN LA IV DECLARACIÓN, INCORPORARA LOS AVANZADOS EN LA SEXTA DECLARACIÓN DE LA SELVA LACANDONA (ANTICAPITALISTA Y DE IZQUIERDA), CON LOS MÉRITOS LOGRADOS POR EL FZLN EN 10 AÑOS DE VIDA, TRATANDO DE EVITAR LOS ERRORES Y VICIOS QUE SE ESTUVIERON PRESENTANDO EN SU TRABAJO, Y, AHORA SÍ, CON LA PARTICIPACIÓN DIRECTA DE ZAPATISTAS DEL EZLN.
CUARTO.- HACE UNOS DÍAS, EL FZLN TERMINÓ SU CONSULTA INTERNA Y LA MAYORÍA DE LOS COMPAÑEROS ACORDARON DISOLVERSE, DEVOLVER EL NOMBRE DEL “FZLN” AL EZLN Y ESTAR PENDIENTES AL LLAMADO A LA REFUNDACIÓN DEL FRENTE ZAPATISTA DE LIBERACIÓN NACIONAL CON NUEVOS PRINCIPIOS, REQUISITOS, NORMAS, ESTRUCTURA Y OBJETIVOS. ASÍ LO COMUNICARON AL EZLN.
QUINTO.- TOMANDO CONOCIMIENTO DE ESTA DECISIÓN, EL COMITÉ CLANDESTINO REVOLUCIONARIO INDÍGENA-COMANDANCIA GENERAL DE EZLN COMUNICA AL PUEBLO DE MÉXICO Y A LOS PUEBLOS DEL MUNDO QUE, A PARTIR DEL DIA VIERNES 25 DE NOVIEMBRE DEL 2005, EL FRENTE ZAPATISTA DE LIBERACIÓN NACIONAL, ORGANIZACIÓN HERMANA DEL EZLN, DEJA DE EXISTIR Y NADIE PUEDE USAR SU NOMBRE PARA NINGÚN FIN, POR BONDADOSO QUE ÉSTE PAREZCA O SEA. EN ESTOS DÍAS, A PETICIÓN EXPRESA DEL EZLN, ALGUNOS FRENTISTAS FORMARÁN UNA COMISIÓN DE TRANSICIÓN, ENCARGADA DE ORGANIZAR EL TRASPASO DE TODOS LOS TRABAJOS Y BIENES DEL FZLN A LA COMISIÓN SEXTA DEL EZLN.
SEXTO.- EL EZLN AGRADECE Y RECONOCE EL ESFUERZO Y SACRIFICIO DE AQUELLOS COMPAÑEROS Y COMPAÑERAS FRENTISTAS QUE PORTARON CON DIGNIDAD EL NOMBRE DE “ZAPATISTAS”, HICIERON HONOR A LA HERMANDAD CIVIL Y PACÍFICA CON EL EZLN, Y QUE SE COMPORTARON DE ACUERDO A LOS PRINCIPIOS QUE ALIENTAN NUESTRA JUSTA LUCHA. LAS COMUNIDADES INDÍGENAS REBELDES, ORGANIZADAS AHORA EN LOS MAREZ Y JUNTAS DE BUEN GOBIERNO, TUVIERON, DURANTE TODO ESTE TIEMPO, EL APOYO INCONDICIONAL DE LOS FRENTISTAS. NO HUBO MOMENTO DE SUFRIMIENTO, ANGUSTIA Y PELIGRO EN QUE NO ESTUVIERA EL FZLN AL LADO DEL EZLN. POR ELLO, A NOMBRE DE LAS MUJERES, HOMBRES, NIÑOS Y ANCIANOS DEL EZLN, LES DAMOS SINCERAMENTE LAS GRACIAS.
SEPTIMO.- HUBO, ES CIERTO, QUIENES USARON AL FZLN Y SU CERCANÍA CON EL EZLN PARA PROVECHO PROPIO, PARA LASTIMAR A OTR@S, PARA AISLARSE Y AISLARNOS, PARA TOMAR FUERZA EN RIVALIDADES PERSONALES Y PUGNAS INÚTILES, COMO PLATAFORMA PARA EL PROTAGONISMO INDIVIDUAL O DE GRUPÚSCULO, Y PARA SIMULAR COMPROMISO DONDE SÓLO HABÍA UNA POSICIÓN CÓMODA.
ADEMÁS DE LOS QUE NOS CORRESPONDEN DE POR SÍ, EL EZLN ASUME COMO PROPIOS LOS ERRORES QUE, CON LA BANDERA DEL ZAPATISMO CIVIL, SE HAYAN COMETIDO POR EL FZLN. POR ESTOS ERRORES, COMO EZLN PEDIMOS DISCULPAS PÚBLICAS A TODOS LOS HOMBRES Y MUJERES QUE SE HAYAN SENTIDO LASTIMADOS POR ACCIONES, PALABRAS Y DESATENCIONES.
OCTAVO.- UNA NUEVA ETAPA DEL ZAPATISMO CIVIL INICIA. AHORA HAREMOS, CON AQUELLAS PERSONAS QUE CON LA ACTITUD Y EL TRABAJO DEMUESTREN QUE ASÍ LO QUIEREN, UNA NUEVA ORGANIZACIÓN POLÍTICA ZAPATISTA, CIVIL Y PACÍFICA, ANTICAPITALISTA Y DE IZQUIERDA, QUE NO LUCHE POR EL PODER Y QUE SE EMPEÑE EN CONTRUIR UNA NUEVA FORMA DE HACER POLÍTICA. ES DECIR, EL MISMO DESTINO HACIA EL QUE ANDUVIMOS HASTA AHORA POR CAMINOS PARALELOS.
NOVENO.- ESTA NUEVA ORGANIZACIÓN NACERÁ DIRIGIDA DIRECTAMENTE POR LA COMISIÓN SEXTA DEL EZLN, SE INGRESARÁ A ELLA SÓLO A INVITACIÓN EXPRESA, Y SERÁ PARTICULARMENTE ESTRICTA EN QUE SE CUMPLAN LOS PRINCIPIOS ZAPATISTAS, IMPONIENDO SIEMPRE LA ÉTICA SOBRE CONSIDERACIONES PRAGMÁTICAS.
DÉCIMO.- CON ESTA ORGANIZACIÓN, LA COMISIÓN SEXTA DEL EZLN TRAZARÁ LA FORMA Y PINTARÁ EL COLOR ZAPATISTA EN EL BORDADO MULTICOLOR DE LA “OTRA CAMPAÑA”.

Brothers and Sisters, Compañeros and Compañeras:
The CCRI-CG of the EZLN speaks its word:
First – In 1996, in its Fourth Declaration of the Selva Lacandona, the EZLN called for the formation of the Zapatista Front of National Liberation (FZLN), a political, civil and peaceful organization, that would not fight for power and which would strive to build a new way of doing politics. At that time we thought that the end of the war was approaching, and we would be able to move on to open political struggle in the FZLN. It was not like that, the bad governments continued their war against us, and we have continued resisting since then. Even though it was without our direct participation, many men and women from all over Mexico (and even from other countries) entered the FZLN, and, complying with the principle of not fighting for power, endeavored to build a new way of doing politics throughout these almost 10 years.
Second – This year, in 2005, the EZLN issued the Sixth Declaration of the Selva Lacandona with a series of initiatives which included a group of zapatistas from the EZLN leaving in order to engage in open, civil and peaceful political work in the “Other Campaign.” A new stage was thus opened in the zapatista struggle for democracy, liberty and justice for Mexico, and a few changes are necessary in order to fully achieve it.
Third – At the end of October of this year of 2005, a delegation from the CCRI-CG of the EZLN met with some members of the Zapatista Front of National Liberation and asked them to consult with all the compañeros and compañeras from the Frente concerning the possibility of dissolving the organic structure of the FZLN and returning to the EZLN the name of that political, civil, zapatista organization, whose origin and ends had been called for by the EZLN.
The purpose was to leave the EZLN free to reestablish a zapatista, civil and peaceful organization which, ratifying the principles articulated in the Fourth Declaration, will incorporate those put forth in the Sixth Declaration of the Selva Lacandona (anti-capitalist and of the left), with the good achieved by the FZLN in its 10 years of life, trying to avoid the errors and defects which occurred in its work, and now with the direct participation of zapatistas from the EZLN.
Fourth – A few days ago the FZLN finished its internal consultation, and the majority of the compañeros agreed to break up, returning the name of the “FZLN” to the EZLN, and to await the call for the reestablishment of the Zapatista Front of National Liberation with new principles, requirements, regulations, structure and objectives. They so communicated this to the EZLN.
Fifth – Learning of this decision, the Clandestine Revolutionary Indigenous Committee – General Command of the EZLN, is informing the people of Mexico and the peoples of the world that, as of Friday, November 25, 2005, the Zapatista Front of National Liberation, sister organization of the EZLN, will cease to exist, and no one shall be able to use its name for any purpose, no matter how kindhearted it might appear or be. At the express request of the EZLN, some Frentistas will be forming a transition committee in charge of conveying all the FZLN’s works and assets to the EZLN’s Sixth Committee.
Sixth – The EZLN appreciates and recognizes the effort and sacrifice of those compañeros and compañeras of the Frente who carried with dignity the name of “zapatistas”, honoring the civil and peaceful brotherhood with the EZLN and who carried themselves in accordance with the principles which encouraged our just struggle. The indigenous rebel communities, now organized in the MAREZ’ and Good Government Juntas, had the unconditional support of the Frentistas throughout this time. There was no moment of suffering, anguish or danger when the FZLN was not at the side of the EZLN. Because of that, in the name of the women, men, children and old ones of the EZLN, we give you our most sincere thanks.
Seventh – There were, it is true, those who used the FZLN and its closeness to the EZLN for their own benefit, in order to hurt others, in order to isolate it and isolate us, in order to take power through personal rivalries and useless fights, as a platform for individual or small group prominence and in order to feign commitment where there was nothing but a comfortable position. In addition to those which correspond to itself, the EZLN assumes as its own those errors which, under the flag of civil zapatismo, have been committed by the FZLN. As the EZLN, we are publicly apologizing to all men and women who have felt hurt by actions, words or inattention.
Eighth – A new stage of civil zapatismo is beginning. We will now be making – along with those persons who demonstrate, through attitude and work, that they so want to – a new political zapatista organization, civil and peaceful, anti-capitalist and of the left, which will not fight for power and which will strive to build a new way of doing politics. The same destination towards which we have been going by parallel paths up until now.
Ninth – This new organization will be born being led directly by the Sixth Committee of the EZLN, admission to it will be only upon express invitation, and it will be particularly strict in seeing that zapatista principles are carried out, always imposing ethics above pragmatic considerations.
Tenth – The EZLN’s Sixth Committee will, with this organization, draw up the form and paint the zapatista color in the multicolored embroidery of the “Other Campaign.”

espero la nueva propuesta del ezln, respecto al fzln, pienso que hicieron un buen trabajo, y venga los que quieran trabajar a trabajar se ha dicho

Hi, I am a full time college student in the United States, New Mexico State University. I have only recently become aware of the Zapatista movement and all that it entails. I was supposed to go down to Chiapas, Mexico with the Pastors for Peace but was unable to because of financial problems. I am trying to learn as much as I can about the entire struggle, and I am trying to change my life here in the United States. I was a political activist here at my university but was threatened by the police, and students on campus. Because of this I decided that I would finish school and become a teacher in order to teach the children of the future that things need to change. I am still interested in going to Chiapas, and I have been gaining more interests about EZLN and what it means to be a Zapatista. I am a Chicana and my heritage and culture comes from Mexico. I do not agree with the way that the Unites States is running things now and I want to make a difference, but it seems that I am one of the only ones in my community that feels that way. I just had to say that the struggle must continue and I want to do my part even from New Mexico. Keep the Struggle alive. Peace, Victoria Garcia

no me queda bien claro, cual es la nueva etapa del ezln. quisiera tener información al repecto. desde atgentina estuve siguiendo como pude los movimientos de chiapas. dirijo una revista de arte y poesía que trata el tema de ls pueblos originarios y estamos en contacto con las comunidades de aquí. el ezln siempre fue el referente y la esperanza de las personas de bien que saben que la historia que comienzan a contar los libros se basan en un genocidio que aún persiste y que debemos resistir del lugar que nos toque.

Tal vez esto no guste demasiado, pero el Zapatismo se ha tranasformado en una bandera gigante que abriga miles de luchas, millones de luchadores. Desde su respeto por la heterogeneidad se ha transformado en un espacio de referencia tan amplio como insoslayable y sin duda la historia del futuro lo definira como la visagra del tiempo de los pueblos que inicio el reflujo de los opresores.
Es dificil emitir opinión a la distancia, sobre una decisión que les pertenece y les compete, pero es mas dificil aún permanecer indiferente. Por ello como corresponde a toda decisión soberana de los pueblos en lucha, mi opinión es mi deseo de que todo sea para bien.
Desde Argentina un abrazo solidario hermanos.

No me queda claro hacia donde se orientara la nueva forma de hacer política y de que modo la sexta comisión de ezln lograra estructurar la nueva resistencia. Solo recuerden que la lucha zapatista esta presente en todo el continente que los observa y espera de ustedes el compromiso de siempre con los que mas sufren y han sufrido. Como profesor de Historia en Argentina el zapatismo es lo que me permite encarar una clase y hablarles de ustedes a mis alumnos es verdaderamente testimonial y hermoso. Reciban mis saludos y mas sincero reconocimiento por las acciones encaradas.

Me parece que siempre hay que estar atentos a los signos que nos presentan los tiempos actuales y remitirnos a la historia que juntos vamos construyendo y que otros en su tiempo construyeron, para aprender de ella, como ustedes lo han venido haciendo desde su origen. Adelante. Ustedes han sido aliento para much@s de nosotr@s.

En realidad; despues de todo y con el escaso tiempo que tengo para ver este medio, hago uso de él para denunciar que los programas de gobierno son usados por algunos falsos representantes socicales como lo son José Luis Rubio Mora y Angel Rangel Gutiérrez, que dicen ser de la CUT y luego entran en la mesa encargada de las lineas porlíticas de la ONPP de l Valle de México, no son honestos y cometen fraudes usando a las organizaciónes pidiendo exageradas cantidades de dinero para geestionar los programas de vivienda del GDF. Ver diversos artículos documentados en periodicos y revistas (quehacer político del 14 de junio de 2007 y otros).
